1poundbaconsliced
1largeoniondiced
2poundsextra lean ground beef
2Tbspflour
2Tbspburger seasoning
1Tbspsteak sauce
1Tbspyellow mustard
2Tbspketchup
1 1/2cupsbeef broth
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
8smallhamburger buns
Instructions
In a large frying pan over medium heat, cook diced bacon until crispy about 4-6 minutes. Remove from frying pan and drain on paper towel. Set aside
Add diced onion to the bacon fat still in the frying pan and saute until just beginning to soften.
Add ground beef to sauteed onion, breaking up with a wooden spoon. Cook 4-5 minutes over medium heat until meat is crumbly and no longer pink. Add burger seasoning
Sprinkle flour over top of cooked ground beef, stir well and let cook for 1-2 minutes
Add beef broth to the cooked ground beef, stirring to make a nice thick gravy. Add ketchup, mustard and steak sauce. Stir well.
Add half the bacon crumbles and the shredded cheese. Mix until cheese melts
Heat hamburger buns in the oven, spoon desired amount of ground beef mixture onto each bun, top with a sprinkle of the remaining cooked bacon and additional cheese if you wish.
