Meal Prep

Meal Prep, for many busy families, it’s a necessity.   Happily it’s not that hard to do, and totally adaptable to your family.  I spend about an hour a week selecting my recipes and making a meal plan.

Don’t forget to plan for sides dishes and snacks too!

Next steps include checking the pantry and freezer, and then making a complete list of everything needed for the meals being cooked that week.

Now it’s time to shop, and do a little prep to make the week that much less stressful.  Trust me, it’s worth it.

Wash and prepare fruit and vegetables, while you’re doing that, toss a soup into the Instant Pot, and make some shredded chicken or pre cook some ground meat.   You’ll adjust depending on what’s on the menu for the week.

If you know you often use chicken or pork or ground beef, you can also make a double or triple batch and store some in the freezer. You appreciate them on those weeks where time is at a premium.

These small steps will make your cooking day that much faster and stress free.
